Your tutorials are very clearly presented and I love the tool column on the right!  Beautiful and extremely helpful!  (and I must thank you particularly for making me aware of eraser pencils!  I've been looking for something like that for a while now!)

Oh actually I have no idea. I try not to pay attention to the time while painting in general. I worked on a couple of days on it.

what paper did you use? i find that when using brush to blend pastel it really fails... they are a bit hard to use cos they are very chalky and hard to do details, personally i find. though they make beautiful matte blending.

I have used the "1557" paper from "Canson" here. The technique takes a little practice, I prefer smooth paper for it. I don't do details with pastels, I use a thin brush with watercolors or colored pencils.

This is so incredible! I loved this tutorial so much that I felt inspired to try it - but I can't tell what kind of pastels you used. Are they oil pastels or more like soft and chalky pastels? Your style is so unique and I can tell from your precise technique that you really love what you do :)

To help with your English (I am not trying to poke fun at you in any way, by the way), the correct way to phrase what you were trying to say would be "the day I can do this is the day that pigs fly."

Hope this helps :-)
